Is MS5 Group an investment company?

No. MS5 Group Ltd. is a private limited liability company registered in Ghana whose main business activity is import and export. Our first operating business is freight forwarding. Separately, we invest our own pooled capital — the money contributed by our members — into stocks, equities, member businesses and other long-horizon opportunities. We are not licensed as a fund manager and we do not hold ourselves out as one.

Can I invest with MS5 Group as a member of the public?

Accepted Answer

No. MS5 Group is not open to the public. All capital in the company belongs to our members — a circle of friends drawn from the Mfantsipim Science 5 class of 2021 and a small group of trusted associates who share our vision. We do not solicit or accept investments from outside this circle. Any future fund we launch will be set up strictly in accordance with the laws of Ghana.

How does membership work? What does it cost?

Membership is by invitation from the administrators. New members pay a one-off commitment fee of GHS 310 which covers registration and onboarding. After that, each member chooses their own capital commitment starting at GHS 7,900, which they can pay monthly, quarterly, annually, or as a one-time payment within a two-year collection window.

What happens to the money during the first two years?

The first two years are the collection phase. Funds received from members are held and deployed primarily into low-risk instruments to protect capital while the group finishes building its base. After the collection window closes, we transition into our long-term investment programme and — in due course — launch a formal fund in full compliance with Ghanaian law.

What do you invest in?

A diversified, long-horizon mix: equities on the Ghana Stock Exchange and select US markets, member-owned operating businesses, and other opportunities the stakeholders vote to pursue. Every investment is proposed, discussed and approved through our internal governance — no single person moves capital alone.

How much say do I have as a member?

Every member sees everything: live portfolio, contributions, ownership, polls and meetings. Major decisions are put to a weighted vote proportional to each member's contributed capital, so influence tracks commitment.

Not right now. MS5 Group is run by its members. We are not currently hiring staff or contractors. When that changes, we will announce it through official channels.

Membership is invitation-only. If a current member or administrator has extended you an invitation, use the link they sent you to register through the member portal. We do not accept applications from the general public.
